The Gospel is the good news that Jesus came to earth, was crucified, and rose again and that you too may have life in Him.
At the beginning of the Church in Acts 2, Peter, the spokesman of the Apostles, preached to thousands in Jerusalem. Those present, realizing their sin and role in crucifying Jesus, responded, "What must we now do to be saved?"
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38).
We now participate by faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection through baptism (Romans 6:1-4; Colossians 2:12). God washes away our sins by his merciful grace and by the blood of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Through baptism, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit which is a guarantee of our salvation until the coming of our Lord.
Every Sunday we gather to remember that sacrifice through the taking of the Lord's Supper (Communion), through singing with our hearts and voices in spirit and in truth, and studying God's word together.
